I have been involved with horses throughout my entire life. I started taking lessons at a local barn when I was 5, and it exploded from there. My sister and I were lucky enough to have the best horse ever named Missy. She was the perfect first horse for two young horse enthusiasts. Over time, my love for riding expanded. By the time I was 13, I was spending all my free time at the barn. I worked my behind off for lessons and leases on some of the most amazing horses. I started my show career during this time. I went from the back yard rider taking lessons once a week to the competitive show ring. I also began my teaching career at the barn by helping people learn how to ride. Sadly, at 18, I went off to college and was not in the horse industry until 10 years later. I always had the desire, but was not in a place where I was able to continue riding. In 2003, Patton came into my life and changed everything. He not only helped me heal, but he started my career in horses up again. The year after, I was teaching riding again and my equine assisted practice started up after that. My discipline specialties have always been in hunt seat and dressage basics.

My education background and work experience is vast in working with children with special needs. I began teaching special education in an emotionally disabled classroom in Texas in 1997, and received my certificate in Special Education in 1999. I taught for 11 years before entering a hospital setting. I have worked with a wide variety of special needs, from severe and profound to emotional disturbances. In 2002 I received my MEd in counseling. In 2008, I began working at a psychiatric hospital as a therapist in Anchorage with the best kids you will ever meet. I am currently working towards my L.P.C.
